But god dam, building everyone up to it was such a dumb move. But they make alot of money and are cheap to make (especially when it's a reskin). Mobile games are such a flash in the pan. How many people watched blizzcon? Millions? If it was diablo 4 that subreddit would have thousands of followers overnight. I mean you want to see how little people care about mobile games. I don't think it will be as easy to delete thousands of one star reviews. Instead now they are also going to see it getting the lowest of reviews because blizzard pretty much invited everyone to review bomb it. Most people will probably see it for the first time when it's on the appstore front page. I bet they will get the same amount of people playing it and giving them money through it. Don't show the thing at all, just put the trailer on the blizzard YouTube channel. It left such a bitter taste in people's mouths.Īnnounce it at the beginning of the show and only spend like ten minutes on it and they wouldnt be receiving half the hate they are getting. Leaving the diablo immortal announcement to the end of the opening ceremony was the most business like, unpassionate move that was clearly only for shareholders. Pokemon GO might be the only game that got away with it. When has anyone ever announced a mobile game on stage and sent the crowd into a frenzy of applause, people tweeting and going mad on social media. I think People who play mobile games generally don't go to conventions and get hyped about the new mobile games coming out next year. It's just mobile games are picked up and dropped by people in such a non-committed way. I am not one of these people who say mobile games are not games and I will never say a bad word about people who play them. I think most of the hate comes from trying to hype up a mobile game.
